Personal Finance for Teens, featuring real-life maths.
We’ll have a whirlwind look at:
- Employment income and understanding payslips
- How VAT works
- Mortgages
- Pensions
- Savings
- Overdrafts/Loans/Credit Cards
- Banking
- Budgeting
Participants must be aged 12yrs+ and proficient in percentages, fractions and the use of a calculator.
Led by a home-educating Mum (with a maths and business background).
£2 per child to cover room hire – there is no charge for the actual activity, materials or the HE mum’s time. Any excess will go to the Educationista Foundation charity (mainly towards insurance), as it is not likely to be significant.
This replaces Japanese (while the tutor is away) and will fit in with the existing French and Business Studies sessions. This is a free-standing event. You do not need to have signed up for Japanese in order to attend this event.
