“Find out what it takes to bring to life some of the most technologically advanced cars in the world. The Tour at Castle Bromwich offers an exclusive insight into the creation of Jaguar’s cars. You will have a unique opportunity to witness the entire production process from sheet metal to Jaguar car.
In their state-of-the-art factory, you’ll see hundreds of robots working in perfect accord with talented craftsmen to produce cars from their inspirational Jaguar range.”
Final details are still being worked out. The day will include an introductory talk, a factory tour, and a production challenge.
The production challenge will demonstrate “lean manufacturing”, “just in time” and “right first time” (which are all current methodologies in manufacturing). Jaguar do this challenge with secondary ages through to university students and also with their own new recruits.
The day would particularly suit those students interested in production, manufacturing, business studies and economics and be working at I/GCSE level.
NB – On occasions, parts of the factory may not always be accessible/running due to production issues. This is beyond Jaguar’s education team’s control and they will try to find alternative areas but this may not always be possible.
Age Range
***The age range for this trip is: 11-16yrs***
(There will be a small number of spaces for children of 10yrs, only if they are accompanying an older sibling. Please note though, that the day is not aimed at them.)
At the present time, it is ONE adult per family. This is because there is an overall upper capacity limit for this visit. Therefore for every adult who goes, a child/student cannot.
We’ll look at final numbers nearer the time to see if there is any spare capacity.
Costs
Cost is £19.50 per person (child or adult) which may work out less if the trip fills up.
(please see below for payment details)
Spaces will not be confirmed until payment has been received.
There are no refunds for non-attendance.
If this trip fills up there will be pro-rata refunds made after the event to those who attend.
This is an Educationista Foundation event, organised by Lou. By booking on, you agree to adhere by the policies of the Foundation. A risk-assessment will be made available to everyone who attends on request.
